1) Who we are
American Barn Co, LLC (“American Barn Co,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is headquartered in Murray, Kentucky (PO Box 1600, Murray, KY 42071-0029). We market and sell our products and services primarily in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. We do not sell sheds in Kentucky at this time.

2) What this Policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use:
- Our websites and pages we operate (the “Site”),
- Online design/quote tools (IdeaRoom),
- Order, quote, and account tools (Shed Suite),
- Our marketing communications via email and SMS (powered by Mailchimp),
- Any other online/offline services that link to this Policy (together, the “Services”).
3) Personal information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details: name, email, phone, mailing address.
- Account/quote info: building designs, options, quotes, messages.
- Order & payment details: order history, delivery info; payment cards are processed by third-party processors—we don’t store full card numbers.
- Communications: email/SMS subscriptions, survey responses, contest entries (e.g., rebates, coloring contests), customer support.
- Dealers/partners: business contact info and preferences for dealer communications.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, and general location (from IP).
- Cookies/SDKs/Similar: used for basic site functionality, analytics, remembering preferences, and preventing fraud.
Information from service providers/partners
- Shed Suite / IdeaRoom: design + quote data, order workflow info.
- Mailchimp: subscription status, delivery/open/click events, opt-ins/opt-outs (including SMS STOP/HELP logs).
- Payment processors: payment confirmations, status (no full card numbers).
- Carriers/telecom (for SMS): delivery status.
4) How we use personal information
- Provide the Services: process quotes/orders, schedule delivery, maintain accounts, provide support.
- Design & sales tools: run IdeaRoom and Shed Suite to capture/build quotes and orders.
- Communications: send transactional notices (order, delivery, service) and—if you opt in—marketing via email and/or SMS.
- Promotions & events: administer rebates, contests, dealer programs, and in-person events.
- Security & fraud prevention: detect abuse, protect accounts, and secure the Services.
- Improvement & analytics: understand usage, fix issues, and improve products and content.
- Legal: comply with laws, enforce terms, and respond to lawful requests.
5) How we share personal information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information to:
- Service providers / processors:
- Mailchimp (email/SMS messaging and analytics),
- Shed Suite and IdeaRoom (quotes, design, order tools),
- hosting/IT, analytics, payment processors, logistics/delivery partners, and customer support tools.
These providers may only use data to perform services for us.
- Business transfers: in a merger, sale, or reorganization.
- Legal/government: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
6) Your choices
- Email: unsubscribe anytime using the link in our messages.
- SMS: reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply.
- Cookies: manage cookies in your browser settings. If we add a cookie banner or preferences tool, use it to adjust non-essential cookies.
- Targeted advertising: we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising (“share” under some state laws). If this changes, we’ll update this Policy and provide required opt-outs.
7) State privacy rights (including Colorado)
Depending on your state of residence (for example, Colorado), you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we maintain about you.
- Delete personal information (subject to legal/operational exceptions).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Portability: receive a copy in a portable format.
- Opt-out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising or “sale” if applicable).
We do not sell personal information and do not share for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will provide an opt-out link (“Your Privacy Choices”).
How to make a request: email barryh@americanbarnco.com with “Privacy Request” and tell us what right you’d like to exercise. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Appeals (Colorado and similar states): If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email or emailing barryh@americanbarnco.com with “Privacy Appeal” within 45 days. We will review and respond with our final decision and reasoning.
Universal Opt-Out signals (e.g., GPC/UOOM): If applicable laws require it, we will honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals. Our Site will treat valid signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising to the extent required.
8) Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9) Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including:
- account/order and warranty records,
- legal, tax, and audit requirements,
- dispute resolution and fraud prevention.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it consistent with our data retention practices and applicable law.
10) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information (e.g., access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, and vendor due-diligence). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11) International transfers
If we transfer personal information across borders, we do so in accordance with applicable data-transfer requirements and use appropriate safeguards.
12) Geographic scope & service area
We operate from Kentucky and provide products and services primarily in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. Content on our Site is not an offer in jurisdictions where we do not operate. We do not sell sheds in Kentucky.
13) Third-party sites and tools
Our Services may link to third-party sites or include third-party widgets (e.g., IdeaRoom visualizers, Shed Suite portals, Mailchimp forms). This Policy does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy notices to understand their practices.
14) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective date” and post the updated version. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
